It’s been a whirlwind month or so and my blog and personal social media use has certainly suffered. Finding time to attend to my personal stuff is always going to be a significant challenge with a full time gig. The anxiety of a shrinking Klout score and Alexa rating always seems to reel me back in. I’m so vain.
As the dust settles a bit, I am excited to share a new venture I am over seeing as part of my increased role at Strategies 360. For the past year or so I’ve been the VP of Marketing/Social Media at S360 running a team of folks servicing a variety of non-profit and advocacy based clients. It’s been an interesting change of pace to implement social media strategies for companies and organizations not selling a “product”. We continue to be very successful at doing so.
However for quite some time I have wanted to attract “traditional” clients to the firm, and in order to do so, we needed some new window dressing that led with our great creative and marketing services, and thus our new sub-brand ShowPony was born.
ShowPony is simply a way for us to have a brand and environment that allows us to attract more retail, customer facing clients to take advantage of our team’s experience with these types of clients. With the launch of our new brand, I’ve also been promoted to Senior VP of Marketing/Social Media and I’m directly responsible for making the brand a success.
I now oversee a tremendous team of talented folks encompassing creative, marketing and social services and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity. In essence I’ve been given the opportunity to create a start up with no financial risk, and the backing of a very successful existing firm. I’m thrilled for the opportunity, but also realize that the buck stops with me now. I welcome the challenge.
Be sure to check out our new digs at www.weareshowpony.com and if you ever have such needs, we’d love for you to consider us.
